XP3R is a Microsoft-focused data analytics and AI consulting firm. We work across three capability areas: data (Fabric, Power BI, insights), software (custom applications and UI layers), and automation/AI (agent building, workflows, APIs). Every engagement we deliver produces two outputs: the client deliverable and reusable tools, templates, and methods that make the next engagement better.

The Consultant owns delivery tracks within a project. You take a project scope, break it into the right bodies of work, define the approach for each, and execute through a team of Junior Consultants and Associates. You own client communication for your areas of the project, you set quality standards, and you are accountable for delivery outcomes.

This role sits at the center of the firm. Principals bring in work and set strategic direction. Project Managers own full engagement economics. You translate that into structured delivery plans and make sure the work actually gets done well. Below you, Junior Consultants own specific deliverable sequences and Associates execute defined tasks. Your job is to connect the dots between what the client needs and what the team builds.

We are looking for someone who already operates at this level, not someone who needs to grow into it. If you have led multi-track delivery in a consulting or professional services environment, managed client relationships day-to-day, and developed junior team members, this role will feel familiar. What will be new is how we use AI to amplify delivery and how we systematically capture reusable knowledge from every engagement.

What You Will Do

Scoping and Delivery Planning

  • Break project scopes into delivery tracks with clear objectives, timelines, milestone plans, and resource needs.
  • Select or create reusable templates for each type of work. Over time, build a library of proven approaches that the whole team draws from.
  • Execute delivery through Junior Consultants and Associates. Assign work, set expectations, review output, and course-correct when things drift.
  • Ensure milestone deliverables meet quality standards. You are the last reviewer before work reaches the client or the Principal.

Client Communication

  • Own day-to-day client communication for your areas of the project. Status updates, expectation-setting, issue resolution.
  • Negotiate minor scope adjustments and set technical direction with client counterparts.
  • Present at milestone and progress reviews. Translate technical progress into language stakeholders understand.

Technical Judgment Across Capabilities

  • Scope AI delivery tracks: agent design, prompt strategy, workflow automation, API integrations.
  • Make build-vs-configure decisions across the Microsoft ecosystem and custom development options.
  • You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in every area. You need to know enough to scope work accurately, review output for quality, and know when to pull in a specialist.

Team Development

  • Develop Junior Consultants and Associates. Give direct feedback, create stretch opportunities, invest in making them more capable.
  • Review work with the intent to teach, not just approve. Your team should get better because they work with you.
  • Help Junior Consultants bridge the gap from task-level execution to owning full delivery tracks.

What We Require

  • 4+ years delivering multi-track analytics, data platform, or technology consulting projects from scoping through completion.
  • Strong expertise in the Microsoft data ecosystem:
    Power BI, Fabric, DAX, SQL. Experience with Azure AI services is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to define the approach for a body of work, not just execute a plan someone else created. We will ask you to walk through this in the interview.
  • Client-facing communication skills. You can set expectations, navigate disagreements, and present technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members. You have given feedback that changed how someone works.
  • Comfort working in AI-augmented workflows where agents handle execution and your role is orchestration, quality, and judgment.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience at a boutique Microsoft partner, mid-size analytics consultancy, or enterprise BI team that ran heavy on Power BI and Fabric.
  • Experience architecting Fabric lakehouse solutions including pipeline design, medallion patterns, and semantic layers.
  • Track record of building reusable methodology, playbooks, or templates used by teams beyond your own.
  • Experience writing proposals, SOW components, or project-level estimates.
  • You have already been experimenting with AI in your current role, even informally. Prompting, automating tasks, using copilots to accelerate work.
  • Experience across multiple industries or client verticals.
