We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate infrastructure that spans both Microsoft Azure and on‑premises environments. This role is responsible for ensuring that our hybrid infrastructure is secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The Hybrid Cloud Engineer will work closely with Dev Ops, Architecture, Engineering, Networking/Systems, and Sec Ops teams to support application modernization, automation, and cloud‑native initiatives—while maintaining and optimizing the on‑premises systems that remain a permanent and critical part of our technology landscape.

This position reports directly to the Director, IT Operations and plays a key role in advancing the company’s hybrid cloud strategy.

Our technology landscape includes both modern cloud services and on‑premises systems that will remain a permanent part of our infrastructure. This role is critical to bridging those worlds—ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable hybrid platforms that support the company’s technology roadmap. You will have direct visibility and impact at the leadership level while working hands‑on with engineering teams to shape how our hybrid infrastructure is designed, connected, and operated.

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and managed services alongside existing on‑premises systems.
• Architect and manage hybrid connectivity between Azure and on‑premises data centers, including VPN, Express Route, DNS, and network peering configurations.
• Build and manage environments with a focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization across both cloud and on‑prem footprints.
• Support application teams in migrating, modernizing, and operating workloads—determining appropriate placement across Azure and on‑premises infrastructure based on technical and business requirements.
• Support and optimize enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V) and associated storage and networking.

• Partner closely with Dev Ops teams to support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, automation, and operational excellence across hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code templates and automation scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and environment consistency.

• Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure cloud and hybrid solutions align with architectural standards, security requirements, and long‑term strategy.
• Work closely with Sec Ops to implement and enforce security best practices across hybrid infrastructure, including identity management, network segmentation, monitoring, and compliance.

• Monitor hybrid environments, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement across both Azure and on‑premises systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and runbooks for hybrid cloud platforms and services.
• Evaluate new Azure services, on‑premises technologies, and hybrid integration patterns; provide recommendations based on business and technical needs.
• Partner with infrastructure teams on capacity, lifecycle, and resiliency planning.
• Partner with leadership on cloud and hybrid cost optimization, capacity planning, and placement decisions.
