At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the Senior BI Developer designs, develops, administers, and supports enterprise BI, analytics, and modern data platform solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS, and related technologies. This role partners with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting, trusted semantic models, governed self‑service analytics, SAP‑integrated insights, and cloud modernization strategies that improve enterprise decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities BI, Reporting & Visualization- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, wireframes, prototypes, and advanced visualizations that translate KPIs and operational metrics into actionable insights
- Partner with business leaders to identify analytics opportunities, enable self‑service reporting, and support AI‑enabled, predictive, and democratized analytics initiatives
- Design, develop, test, and optimize enterprise BI and modern data platform solutions using Azure SQL Database, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, DAX, and SQL
- Evaluate current reporting and data architecture landscapes and recommend scalable cloud‑based modernization strategies that improve performance, availability, security, and scalability
- Administer Power BI Service work spaces, gateways, security roles, deployment pipelines, semantic models, dimensional models, and enterprise reporting datasets
- Implement row‑level security (RLS), data governance, data quality, compliance standards, documentation, data dictionaries, and development standards
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric Dataflows, Informatica IICS, and related data integration tools
- Support hybrid analytics across SAP S/4
HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure platforms, including SAP extractors, CDS Views, OData services, and financial, operational, supply chain, and manufacturing data sources
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, onsite/offshore teams, and cross‑functional partners to gather requirements, manage deliverables, timelines, and project execution
- Lead, mentor, and support BI developers, analysts, and technical team members while participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and release management
- Stay current with Microsoft technologies, analytics trends, AI/Copilot capabilities, and best practices, sharing knowledge and supporting FBM’s evolving technology ecosystem and enterprise applications
- Perform other duties as assigned to support information technology, analytics, and corporate objectives
- Strong Power BI experience, including Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, semantic modeling, deployment pipelines, workspace administration, RLS, and governance
