Movement Search and Delivery is working with a heavy industrial manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA area to identify and evaluate a Director of Supply Chain
About the RoleThe Director of Supply Chain will lead all aspects of supply chain services, directing the coordination and physical progression of material through the production system, purchasing and procurement, production scheduling and control, and stockroom and shipping functions. This role reports financial information on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and takes on special projects as needed.
What You Will Do- Ensure production plans and controls are developed and executed effectively
- Direct purchasing, procurement, and outside vendor functions
- Manage product planning, estimation, and pricing for accuracy and cost-effectiveness, including bill of materials and detailed process instructions
- Direct program development for material control schedules across operating departments, overseeing shipping, stockroom, and material flow through the factory
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through systems, controls, and policy; establish inventory policies that support customer service and financial goals
- Plan staffing levels and partner with the Operations Director on personnel and equipment needs
- Ensure monthly shipping and on-time delivery goals are achieved
- Lead ongoing operations improvement, modernization, and cost reduction initiatives
- Comply with and enforce all company safety rules and regulations
- 5-10 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
- 4+ years of supervisory experience highly preferred
- Proficiency using ERP software;
Syteline experience preferred but not required - Strong math and analytical skills, with the ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
- Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, people, and functions under deadline pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline highly preferred
