Position Summary

We are seeking a Buyer II to manage purchasing activities and work with suppliers to ensure materials and services are obtained at the right price, quality, and delivery time.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, products, and services based on business needs.
• Request and review supplier quotes.
• Research and evaluate potential vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
• Create and manage purchase orders.
• Track orders and follow up on delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing information in the ERP system.
• Work with Quality, Accounting, and other departments to resolve purchasing issues.
• Provide updates on open and upcoming orders.
• Assist with vendor and supply chain activities.
• Participate in meetings, training, and other purchasing projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of purchasing or buying experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’ s Degree preferred.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Occasional vendor visits may be required.
