  • Source electrical materials, equipment, and supplies from qualified vendors while following established purchasing practices.
  • Prepare and release purchase orders based on project scope, material requirements, quantities, specifications, and requested delivery dates.
  • Work with the Purchasing Manager to review, maintain, and expand the company’s preferred supplier network.
  • Gather material lists, quantity information, BOMs, take-offs, and requisitions from project managers and field supervision.
  • Request, compare, and evaluate supplier pricing to support competitive and cost-conscious purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding delivery timing, staging, and storage requirements to support project schedules and minimize unnecessary costs.
  • Review orders carefully for accuracy, including quantities, product descriptions, specifications, pricing, and expected delivery dates.
  • Partner with the logistics team to track outstanding materials and resolve shortages, backorders, shipping delays, or other supply issues.
  • Keep purchasing documentation organized and current, including orders, supplier information, agreements, quotes, and related correspondence.
  • Communicate regularly with field personnel, project management, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure purchasing activity aligns with project requirements.
  • Assist with initiatives designed to improve procurement workflows, supplier performance, purchasing efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct purchasing activities in accordance with company procedures, ethical expectations, and applicable internal controls.
  • Maintain dependable attendance, punctuality, and consistent follow-through.
