Job Overview
Support the operation and maintenance of critical airport systems as a Stationary Engineer. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electromechanical systems including aircraft passenger boarding bridges, conveyor systems, PLC systems, scanners, sorters, pushers, and baggage makeup units (BMUs). Candidates must hold a CA General Electrician License with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft passenger boarding bridges, PLC systems, sorters, scanners, conveyor systems, pushers, and related control equipment.
- Monitor and maintain BMU (Baggage Makeup Unit) systems and components.
- Provide concise, accurate data for maintenance records.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment and facilities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Complete daily work logs and paperwork.
- Respond to maintenance calls as required.
- Comply with company safety program.
- Collaborate with diverse teams in a multicultural environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must hold a valid General Electrician License in CA.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Pass background check to work in secure airport areas.
- Availability for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays.

Computer, typing, and data entry skills.
Work Environment
The work environment resembles airport operations with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. Noise levels are usually loud. Employees work on an airport ramp around aircraft and heavy equipment.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 49 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircraft and confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Vision requirements include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Good hand/eye coordination is required. Occasional sitting is also required.
