We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is integral to our company's success, as the Maintenance Technician will ensure that all our systems and machinery are always in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering maintenance, with a particular focus on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery, with a particular focus on VFDs.
2. Identify and troubleshoot issues with VFDs, including but not limited to, motor failures, drive failures, and power issues.
3. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty equipment parts.
4. Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
5. Document all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
6. Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
9. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with VFDs, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
3. A degree or diploma in a related field is preferred.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair.
10. Willingness to participate in continuous learning and training opportunities.
11. Able to work under pressure and in challenging conditions.
12. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
