Iteris is looking for a Supervisor, Production who will manage people and process while comprehending complex operations. Top‑notch communication skills are essential to clearly convey expectations to all team members. The Supervisor’s goal is to ensure products and services are delivered at maximum quality in a profitable manner. By giving clear and timely instructions, the Supervisor oversees the work of direct employees to ensure successful task completion.

The successful Supervisor possesses acute problem‑solving skills, motivates staff through meticulous planning, monitoring, and appraisal, and coaches, counsels, and corrects employees while initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. The Supervisor maintains workflow by monitoring process steps, understanding inevitable variables, and facilitating corrections. The Supervisor is an integral part of the business process and team, and must be highly competent, respected, and trustworthy in all areas.

You Will Be Doing
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s vision, mission, and values and communicate them to subordinates
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Maintain timekeeping
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and developing personal growth opportunities
  • Accomplish staff job results by coaching, counseling, and correcting employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
  • Complete operations by implementing productivity standards; resolving operational problems; maintaining reference instructions; implementing new procedures
  • Address problems with work quality, issues between employees, and other concerns in an effective, timely manner
  • Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations
  • Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members, and create strategies to boost productivity
  • Communicate effectively at every level within the organization
  • Work closely with support staff such as Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Stockroom to resolve issues
  • Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication
  • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities
  • Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (MPP)
  • Prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and delegate assignments to others
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill
  • Perform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business
  • May work longer hours when needed
What You Need To Be Successful In This Role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Over five (5) years of work in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Lean Expert (Green Belt minimum)
  • Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and possibly some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)

Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $82,600 and $92,000 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
