We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist & Setup Specialist to set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machinery in our high-tempo production facility. In this role, you will be a key player on our manufacturing floor—ensuring machines are prepared efficiently, programs are successfully transferred, and parts are machined to exact tolerances.
Beyond daily operation, you will maintain setup documentation and help elevate the team by mentoring less-experienced machinists.
salary: $62,400 - $75,000 per year

- Machine Setup & Operation: Perform setups and operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machines efficiently to keep pace with production demands.
- Quality & Precision: Work directly from blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions to hold tight tolerances. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet all visual and dimensional specifications.
- Process Improvement: Create, maintain, and update standard setup procedures for all critical machining processes.
- Program Transfers: Use basic computer systems to transfer machining programs directly to various CNC equipment.
- Team Mentorship: Train and guide junior machinists, with a particular focus on perfecting machine setup techniques.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and run multiple machines simultaneously when cycle times allow.
- Documentation: Complete all required shop floor paperwork and record precise part measurements.
