Optum CA is seeking an experienced PA or NP to join our team in Orange County, CA. Optum is a clinician-led care organization focused on changing how clinicians work and live. Part-time - Location:
Office based in Santa Ana, CA - Introduce the member's medical group, Optum California, to members, family members and caregivers
- Counsel and educate patients and families regarding health plan benefits, network and other programs and tools available to improve quality of lifestyle
- Conduct assessments and annual wellness exams; document chief complaint, medical history, review of systems, examination, assessment, and plan of care; coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services
- Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner; maintain quality of care standards defined by the medical group
- Identify members’ needs and gaps in care; provide recommendations for benefits/programs and guide members appropriately

- Master's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification beyond a four-year college
- Certificate of completion from a Master of Physician Assistant Studies program or an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current NCCPA or ANCC and/or AANP certification required
- Unrestricted / Active CA PA or NP license
- Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
- Active BLS certification
- EMR proficient
- Excellent patient care and time management skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Access to reliable transportation enabling travel to facilities and members' homes within the designated area
- Fluency in Spanish
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience, preferably in outpatient/managed care setting
- Working knowledge of managed care, health plans, medical groups, IPA networks
