Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care

Job Description

Orange County Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (English/Spanish) with experience in wound care to join our clinical team in Santa Ana, CA.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience evaluating and managing acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and other lower-extremity wounds.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds
• Perform comprehensive wound assessments
• Develop and follow individualized wound care treatment plans
• Manage diabetic foot ulcers and other complex wounds
• Monitor for infection, delayed healing, and other complications
• Educate patients on wound care, prevention, offloading, and follow-up
• Communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking patients
• Order and review appropriate labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Maintain accurate medical documentation
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare providers

Requirements:

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license
• Current NP certification
• Wound care experience required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the physician and clinical team

Preferred:

• Experience with diabetic foot wounds and chronic ulcers
• Experience in podiatry, diabetic foot care, vascular care, or advanced wound care
