As a Supplier Quality Engineer Level 2, you will ensure the quality and reliability of products and materials supplied to our company. The role involves conducting supplier audits, driving continuous‑improvement initiatives, collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and supporting new product development.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing systems, repair process procedures, quality improvement programs, and design for manufacturability concepts.
- Establish effective partnerships with internal customers.
- Support new product development and supplier selection processes.
- Ensure timely communication with suppliers regarding quality expectations and requirements.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities to address quality issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to supplier quality activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of product development, quality assurance, and supplier performance systems.
- Proven experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations up to 10%.
Compensation Range: $89,269 – $111,586 USD.
