Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Seafood Clerk. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, with essential functions including lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling. The position involves providing friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service, setting up, maintaining and cleaning the seafood display cases, and rotating seafood displays.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers and maintaining the seafood display cases, cleaning, filling and rotating the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of time.

• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving of food.
