• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Effective communication in one‑on‑one and small group situations with customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (optional).
• Retail Management Certificate (optional).

Assist in proper maintenance of the store, especially in the Produce Department, and provide customer assistance on the floor.

Responsibilities include:

• Bag groceries, carry orders, and maintain a clean and safe shopping environment.
• Retrieve and manage store carts.
• Run price checks and assist with go‑backs.
• Support check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area.

Typical working environment: fast‑paced grocery store requiring physical activity such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory awareness.
