Learn more:  As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will use communication and computer skills to report security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural collections environment.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, collection-related spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and facility information, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
