Industrial Painter / Finish Carpenter
This role combines industrial painting and finish carpentry to support a variety of projects at distribution, manufacturing, and educational facilities. You will paint conveyor systems, racks, and industrial safety rails, as well as perform detailed finish carpentry work such as installing baseboards, stair railings, crown molding, door and window casings, cabinetry, built-in furniture, and other wood details. The position involves traveling to multiple customer sites to complete high-quality, project-based work in a professional and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial painting of conveyor systems, racks, and industrial safety rails within distribution and manufacturing facilities.
- Complete painting and refinishing work on school doors and related surfaces for project-based assignments at educational institutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of work.
- Carry out finish carpentry tasks including installing baseboards, stair railings, crown molding, and casing around doors and windows.
- Build, install, and adjust cabinetry, built-in furniture, and other detailed wood features to meet project requirements.
- Support framing and interior building work as needed to prepare surfaces and structures for finish carpentry and painting.
- Perform general maintenance and facility-related tasks associated with industrial painting and finish carpentry projects.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times on customer sites.
- Use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly for both painting and carpentry work.
- Travel reliably to various job sites, sometimes up to 50 miles from the corporate location, and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Communicate clearly with site contacts and team members to coordinate work and meet project timelines.
- Honor scheduled commitments, including optional Saturday work when agreed, to support project planning and completion.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for construction and finish work.
- Hands-on experience with finish carpentry, including installation of baseboards, stair railings, crown molding, and door and window casings.
- Experience building and installing cabinetry, built-in furniture, and other detailed wood elements.
- Industrial painting experience, particularly on conveyors, racks, and industrial safety rails.
- Experience in maintenance, industrial, or facility-related work environments.
- Ability to perform framing and interior building tasks to support finish carpentry and painting.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal transportation suitable for traveling to multiple job sites.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and adapt to project-based scheduling.
- Capability to work safely with tools, equipment, and materials used in industrial painting and carpentry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in distribution, manufacturing, or similar industrial facilities.
- Experience working on educational facility projects such as colleges or schools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes in both painting and carpentry.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines across multiple locations.
- Willingness to travel to job sites that may be up to 50 miles from the corporate location.
- Openness to occasional Saturday work for overtime when committed in advance.

Work Environment
You will work primarily at customer sites in North Orange County and the Los Angeles area, traveling from a central corporate location in Santa Ana. The work takes place in active distribution and manufacturing facilities as well as educational campuses, where you will be on your feet, using a variety of carpentry and painting tools and equipment. Typical shifts run Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. and ending around 2:30 p.m., with optional Saturday shifts available for overtime when pre-arranged.
The dress code includes work boots (steel toe not required), durable pants such as jeans or work pants, and a t-shirt, with a company t-shirt provided. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and project-focused, requiring safe work practices and adherence to site rules and procedures.
