Job Overview

Clean Harbors in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light and heavy‑duty trucks and work equipment at our customer sites. Vehicles include a 26‑ft box truck with lift gate, vacuum trailer, roll‑off trailer, van trailer, and high‑powered vacuum loader. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties related to hazardous waste clean‑up.

• Class B 26‑ft box truck with lift gate
• General labor duties required
• 5:00 AM start time, 10–14 hour days with frequent overtime
• Picking up hazardous waste from medical facilities (laboratories, clinics, hospitals, etc.)
• Automatic restriction on vehicles
• Must possess a Class B CDL with hazmat and passenger endorsements
• Must be willing to receive a Hepatitis B shot if not already vaccinated
• Must attend a company‑paid 2‑week out‑of‑state training academy

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team‑oriented environment).
• Operate a variety of Class B trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at the time of service.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Observe all corporate and environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Meet OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard facial hair requirements for respirator‑using positions.

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsement.
• Previous hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.

• Health and Safety priority with 3‑6‑5 schedule.
