This is a fast paced position and job stress may occur and employees will be expected to handle any special or unforeseen circumstances. Other unexpected job duties may arise and the employee will be expected to perform other duties as required by business needs.
Order puller / Pre LoaderThe warehouse worker’s duties and responsibilities should be clearly detailed in the job description. Ideally, the job description should also provide a description of the warehouse, its functions and the warehouse worker’s expected role. Some responsibilities, but not limited to include:
- Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely place product in to the shipping bay.
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for delivery.
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
- Exposure to temperature changes while working in coolers.
Warehouse employees who work in the repacking room are responsible for repacking product and breaking it down from cases to smaller quantities.
Some Responsibilities, But Not Limited To Include- Keeping track of inventory and rotating stock
- Counting items, weighing items on scales
- Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately
- Occasional exposure to temperature changes while working in coolers
