We are seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services Specialist to manage a portfolio of clients and support the efficiency and quality of our client accounting services team. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting or client‑service experience, who is comfortable managing client relationships and reviewing work.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Management & Accounting
- Manage and oversee accounting services for a portfolio of clients
- Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform and review complex bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee month‑end and quarter‑end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
- Identify accounting issues, trends, and discrepancies and communicate recommendations to clients and senior firm staff
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Review work prepared by Associates for accuracy and completeness
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to junior staff
- Coordinate with tax and accounting teams to support tax preparation and year‑end reporting
- Coordinate with audit department and assist with GAAP compliance and implementation
- Assist with client onboarding, including system setup and process implementation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of department services and client experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or client‑service environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced experience with Quick Books Online required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations and data analysis
- Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines
- Prior experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Strong communication skills and professional client‑service mindset
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
