Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $225,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and compliance activities.
- Lead month end and year end close processes while preparing financial statements, analyses, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and risk management procedures to support operational effectiveness.
- Manage audit preparation, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Provide leadership to the accounting team through mentoring, performance management, and process improvement initiatives.
- A Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting, auditing, or financial management experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Previous experience with accounting systems, financial software, cash management, and budgeting processes.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to guide and motivate accounting professionals.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Prior experience with investment management, financing arrangements, risk mitigation, and strategic financial planning.
- Highly professional and self directed with the ability to handle confidential information and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
