Accounts Payable Specialist

A company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team in Santa Barbara, California. This role is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure information is current and accurate.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are made according to company terms and policies.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and reports as needed.
• Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain accurate records.
