Executive & Personal Operations Assistant

OverviewI’m looking for a highly capable, trustworthy, and proactive assistant to help manage the complexity of work across multiple organizations, entrepreneurial projects, and family responsibilities.
This role sits at the intersection of work, home, and long-term ambition
. You’ll help keep things moving at Matter Neuroscience, support responsibilities at the Goldhirsh Foundation and GOOD Worldwide (including All In and Upworthy), assist with personal financial organization, and help manage day-to-day family and household logistics.
This is not a traditional admin role. It’s for someone who enjoys context-switching, solving problems before they become problems, and bringing entrepreneurial energy to driving positive outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork & Professional Support
- Manage calendars, scheduling, travel, and meeting logistics across multiple organizations
- Help prioritize tasks, deadlines, and commitments across Matter, Goldhirsh Foundation, and GOOD Worldwide
- Track follow-ups, action items, and long-term projects
- Draft, organize, and manage documents, notes, and light communications
- Act as a thought partner on organization, planning, and execution
- Help track family expenses and manage budget planning and visibility
- Organize bills, subscriptions, reimbursements, and financial paperwork
- Help oversee and optimize investment portfolio.
- Support research, scheduling, and early execution for new project ideas
- Help keep momentum on long-term entrepreneurial projects
- Organize ideas, timelines, and next steps so things don’t stall
- Help manage household logistics (appointments, services, repairs, vendors)
- Assist with pet care logistics (dogs, vet appointments, schedules, supplies)
- Support family scheduling, reminders, and general life admin
- Handle occasional personal errands or coordination tasks
- Switching smoothly between strategic thinking and small details
- Communicating clearly, calmly, and professionally
- Holding context across many threads without dropping the ball
- Being discreet, trustworthy, and emotionally intelligent
- 3+ years experience supporting quality execution in a high-complexity environment.
- Exceptionally organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working across professional and personal domains
- Tech-savvy (Passionate about leveraging AI, comfortable in Google Workspace, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Proactive, resourceful, and independent—but collaborative
- Enjoys learning and being “the glue” that keeps things running smoothly
- High trust, high autonomy
- Clear priorities, but changing days
