Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and professional Office Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This full-time administrative support role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping office operations running smoothly, supporting managers and team members, and creating a positive experience for callers, visitors, and internal staff. The Office Assistant will play an important role in daily office coordination, communication, scheduling, document preparation, and recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, meeting schedules, and general office coordination.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, records, data entry, and administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate office supplies, equipment needs, vendor communication, meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to executives, managers, and team members.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, full-time.
  • Job Type: Temp-to-hire.

    Santa Barbara, CA.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Support daily office operations, communications, scheduling, and administrative workflow.
  • Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence for management and staff.
  • Maintain records, filing systems, data entry, supplies, and office coordination projects.
  • 1 to 2 years of administrative, office support, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a professional customer-service mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using office equipment and administrative software.
  • Prior experience supporting executives, managers, or cross-functional office teams.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, travel arrangements, or vendor communication.
