About Us:
We are a full-service telecom engineering and construction company specializing in end-to-end telecommunications infrastructure-including underground utility work, copper and fiber-optic installation-we support major network builds and upgrades across Southern California.
Job Summary:
As a Construction Coordinator, you will assist in the planning, organization, and execution of telecommunications projects. You will collaborate with the management team to ensure that work progresses on schedule, stays within budget, and meets quality and safety standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and communicating with clients, while ensuring smooth operations between field crews and the project management team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including copper and fiber splicing.
- Work with the Construction Supervisor to develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
- Organize and manage the work of field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensure that all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Assist with the interpretation of telecom blueprints, splicing schematics, and engineering plans.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve any issues or changes to the project scope.
- Monitor progress and ensure projects are on track, adjusting schedules and resources as needed.
- Review daily progress reports from the field to track materials, labor, and safety compliance.
- Facilitate on-site problem-solving and assist in troubleshooting technical issues that arise during construction.
- Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, ensure safety compliance, and verify that work is progressing per schedule.
- Document and track any changes to project scope, timelines, or costs.
- 2+ years of experience in telecommunications construction or a related field.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including copper and fiber optic installations.
- Experience coordinating teams, schedules, and materials on construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, telecom schematics, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of local and state construction safety regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with both field crews and office teams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be local to the Santa Barbara/Oxnard area or willing to relocate at your own expense.
- OSHA certification.
- Experience working with telecom carriers, utility companies, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
