Below Magid Construction — Santa Barbara, CA
Below Magid Construction is a Santa Barbara-based general contractor specializing in residential remodels and new builds, as well as commercial tenant improvement projects. We're looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and help us price, plan, and win great projects across both markets.
What You'll Do- Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential remodel, new build, and commercial TI projects
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop detailed takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Build and maintain relationships with trade partners and vendors
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to align estimates with real-world field conditions
- Track bid results and historical cost data to improve future estimate accuracy
- Prepare and evaluate change orders throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in preparing proposals and bid packages for clients and general contractors
- 3-5 years of experience estimating residential and/or commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local building costs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for working with clients, subs, and internal teams
- Location: Santa Barbara, CA (in-office/on-site as needed)
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Work Schedule: Partial remote work schedule may be considered
- Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000, depending on experience
