Surf Instructor (Part Time or Full Time)
Santa Barbara Surf School is hiring surf instructors. We need someone responsible, organized, energetic and that has a love of surfing. Must be very energetic and attentive when giving lessons. Must have a clean driving record. Must be someone that has a minimum of 5 years of surfing experience. This can be part time or full time depending on interview. Positions are available starting in March and June for work March - September.
Fall and Winter work is dependent on summer season performance and availability.
The right candidate must have the following for the role of surf instructor:
- Clean driving record: parking tickets are ok.
- Upbeat and happy personality
- Organized
- 5 years surfing experience - meaning you've surfed for at least 5 years, not necessarily teaching.
- Flexible
- Great people skills (WE ARE VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED)
- Must be active
- Always on time
Surf Instructor
Job Duties:
- Leading Surf lessons
- Safety orientation
- Daily set up and tear down; general cleaning after lessons
- Renting to customers
- Customer Service
