Lecturer in Anthropology of Health

We seek one or more lecturers broadly trained in Anthropology to teach courses across the subdisciplines, with particular emphasis on intersections of anthropological approaches to biological, ecological, and cultural dimensions of health. The lecturer will:

• Develop and teach three large gateway courses (with maximum enrollment of 300 students) and one upper‑division specialty course
• Teach undergraduate students pursuing Anthropology of Health honors projects
• Participate in curriculum development and assessment for the health track in Anthropology

• Master’s Degree in Anthropology or a closely related field
• 1 year of demonstrated teaching experience

• PhD in Anthropology or a related field
• Expertise in Biological, Sociocultural, or Archaeological Anthropology with the ability to teach in one or more of these fields
• 2 years of teaching experience
• Experience teaching large classes (over 100 students)
• Experience working with Teaching Assistants
