Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of part‑time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part‑time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

Under the general supervision of the Dean of Physical Education and work direction of the Director of Athletics, the Head Men's Tennis Coach provides comprehensive leadership over the Men's Tennis team in terms of California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) compliance, recruiting, ensuring academic progress toward degree, and all other aspects of the intercollegiate sport program, including, but not limited to: planning and executing practice, training, and supervising student‑athletes;

scheduling athletic contests and arranging transportation; preparing budgets; maintaining athletic equipment, supplies and facilities; and enforcing district, college, and student requirements. Coaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend classes, on and off campus responsibilities.

College coaching experience in subject sport preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree AND Two years of experience
• Any associate degree AND Six years of experience
• Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to all of the above. Candidates making an application on the basis of equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency in addition to all other required material.
