Part‑Time Instructor Pool – Computer Information Technologies

Salary: $82.33 – $115.20 per hour (Lecture: $102.90; Lab: $82.33; Doctorate: Lecture $107.87; Lab $86.30)

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality instruction in lecture and lab courses within the Computer Information Technologies discipline.
  • Create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning, encouraging free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.
  • Be available to students outside of class for academic support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Any bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience, OR
  • Any associate degree and at least six years of experience, OR
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
  • Evidenced sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
Equivalency Requirements
  • Applicants whose degree titles do not exactly match those listed in the minimum qualifications must request an equivalency review and submit conclusive supporting materials, including a completed SBCC Equivalency Crosswalk and a narrative synopsis justifying equivalency.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Strong communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to develop curriculum and deliver effective instruction in both lecture and lab settings.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusive teaching practices.
