Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues. Primary duties are related to curriculum and teaching.
Starting non-credit adjunct rate: $60.14 per hour for lecture and $45.11 per hour for lab.
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in any social science, humanities, mathematics, natural science discipline, or in liberal studies, as appropriate for the course.
Demonstrates sensitivity in working with adult students of diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, academic, and socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation, and disabilities.
Knowledge and AbilitiesAbility to design and deliver instruction that meets the needs of adult learners; proficiency in developing curriculum and assessments aligned with adult education standards.
Working ConditionsThe work environment involves indoor and outdoor instructional settings with variable work hours, intermittent interruptions, and the need to drive to multiple locations.
Physical demands include hearing and speaking, remaining stationary for extended periods, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, and lifting materials. General computer use and reading of complex materials are required.
