Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. The primary duties of adjunct faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching. The assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Adjunct instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

• Lecture: $84.09 per hour (or $88.15 per hour with a doctorate)
• Lab: $67.28 per hour (or $70.52 per hour with a doctorate)

Primary responsibilities include delivering lecture and laboratory instruction, overseeing student learning, and providing instructional support outside of scheduled classes.

• Previous experience working in an Early Childhood Education Center or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, family and consumer studies, educational psychology (specialization in child development), elementary education, psychology, or family life studies.
• Two years of professional experience in early childhood programs or parenting education.
• Combination of education and experience that is at least equivalent to the above.
• Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of diversity in academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.

• Child Development Program Director Permit or Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
• TB test clearance and up‑to‑date immunizations.
• Current Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certificate.
• Criminal background clearance.
