Lecturer--Pool, Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences

The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers (part-time) for anticipated openings throughout the year including Summer Session. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement.

Salary is based on UC's salary scales.

Areas of specialization include:
Cognition, Perception, and Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental and Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior or Social Psychology.

The posting will remain open until March 31, 2027 to accommodate department needs. The pool will close on March 31, 2027, if you would like to continue to be considered after that time, and the pooled position is advertised again, you will need to submit a new application.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application):
The minimum requirement to be considered an applicant is a Master's degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences, Cognitive Neuroscience/psychology, Developmental and Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience or Behavior, and Social Psychology, or a closely related field at the time of application.

Preferred qualifications:

Previous experience in the title of Lecturer, Teaching Associate, or an equivalent title. A demonstrated record of excellence and effectiveness in teaching at the university or college level as evidenced by positive teaching evaluations. Additionally, applicants should provide evidence of current expertise in the subject matter via the teaching statement and one sample syllabus. A PhD in in Psychological and Brain Sciences, Cognitive Neuroscience/psychology, Developmental and Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior, and Social Psychology, or a closely related field.
