Tutor Position
Santa Barbara Unified School District's PEAC program is looking for tutors to join our tutoring center team.
We have seven tutoring centers located throughout the Santa Barbara Unified School District area. A tutor is responsible for helping students learn, understand, and complete assignments. Ultimately, you will work directly with students to assist them in gaining a better understanding of concepts taught in the classroom. A tutor is a positive role model for students, supports students to experience a variety of learning opportunities, and creates a positive environment for learning and enrichment with a goal of 100% participation.
Our PEAC after school tutor positions are 10 month assignments, from August through May, up to 15 hours a week.
Salary Schedule Range: 25
Starting Hourly Rate: $21.39

Education and experience:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school; must be enrolled in college. Knowledge and abilities:
Must be fluent in English. Spanish skills preferred, but not required. Licenses and other requirements: TB test clearance required. State law requires that applicants selected for the position must complete a fingerprint process to check for or verify conviction record. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify you from employment, but failure to list convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.
