Job OverviewProduct Engineer for Turreted Weapons Systems will be responsible for the product delivery throughout the product lifecycle, including proposal support, program kick‑off, design reviews, qualification and production of the hardware of turreted weapons systems. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute programs and deliver space‑rated hardware to the customer.
- Provide direction to Technicians as well as coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering to maintain high integrity products.
- Generate technical data, reports and procedures for hardware to meet the customer specifications.
- Maintain performance of production hardware, resolve engineering problems and support initiatives to improve quality, reduce cost and reduce lead‑time.
- Participate in failure investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate, sustain, implement and improve assembly & test methods, fixtures, and test equipment necessary for product delivery.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience with closed‑loop control systems, mechanical and electrical hardware design.
- Ability to clearly communicate with other Engineers, Production Staff and Management.
- Willingness and ability to adapt and make changes and improvements to meet business needs.
- Ability to work onsite in Goleta, CA (remote candidates will not be considered).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- This position requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
