Systems Engineer

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Santa Barbara, CA

• Be responsible for the system design of environmentally robust, high reliability liner and rotary actuators.
• Evaluate the system design using a variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal and rotary motion, leading to development of integrated electromechanical systems and electromechanical motion systems.
• Based on fundamental engineering principles, predict the system level performance of candidate approaches and select the optimum approach to specific applications.
• Lead an integrated product development team to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Understand and interpret customer specifications and requirements.
• Travel up to 25% depending on mission requirement.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High level of motivation and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred:

• Turret fire control systems design, integration and test experience.
• MATLAB/Simulink expertise.
• Active DoD security clearance.
