* Stabilized Turret Drive Systems
* Integrated Weapon Systems (full turret from mechanical design to fire control electronics and software)
* Ammunition Handling
* Data Control and Distribution
* Power Management and Distribution We are looking for a
*** System Engineer
*** at our location in Santa Barbara, California. We provide sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development,
** Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:
*** Be responsible for the system design of environmentally robust, high reliability liner and rotary actuators.
* Evaluate the system design using a variety of engineering disciplines to include mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal and rotary motion leading to development of integrated electromechanical systems and electromechanical motion systems.
* Based on fundamental engineering principles, predict the system level performance of candidate approaches and select the optimum approach to specific applications.
* Lead an integrated product development team to insure timely and successful project completion.
* Understand/interpret customer specifications and requirements.
* Ability to travel up to 25% depending on mission requirement. (historically has been 10%-15%)
** Here’s what you’ll need to bring with:
*** Bachelor’s in engineering
* 3 years of relevant industry experience
* Experience working in team environment
* Strong attention to detail
* High level of motivation and willingness to learn
* Strong work ethic
* ** Ability to access US export-controlled information**
* ** Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
**** It would be great if you also had:
*** Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience
* MATLAB/Simulink expertise
* Active DoD Security Clearance
