SBIR designs and manufactures advanced infrared (IR) and electro‑optical (E‑O) test instrumentation, supporting worldwide testing of military and commercial sensor systems.
The Sr. Contracts Specialist will administrate customer contracts and review and negotiate terms and conditions.
Compensation$ – $ per year (DOE). M-F, full‑time, on site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Contract management and administration of both government and commercial contracts, including executing, preparing, administering, and requesting modifications.
- Review and negotiate customers’ terms and conditions for acceptability/compliance.
- Negotiate, prepare, execute, and administer legal agreements such as a Bail Agreement.
- Manage assigned government contracts such as CPFF and FAR flow‑downs and regulatory compliance.
- Manage government billings and portals; administer and report small‑business plans.
- Support import/export compliance.
- Support program management with emphasis on contract deliverables and schedule.
- Maintain current certifications required for commercial and government quotes and contracts.
- Review and recommend credit approvals for customers utilizing Credit Safe.
- Work full time (8–10 hours preferred).
- Act as lead for contract administrators when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Support the remap of the contracts process to introduce efficiency; design and implement with metrics.
- Ensure all assigned contracts are processed expeditiously.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or 8+ years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of contracts and federal regulations.
- Leadership experience with a contracts team.
Due to U.S. Export Control Regulations compliance, eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted asylum; proper documentation is required. Pre‑employment verifications include background, reference, and ITAR/EAR checks, plus a pre‑employment drug screen.
