Technical Product Manager – SaaS Focus

• Collaborate with engineering leaders and technical product managers to shape technical vision and deliver customer value
• Lead use case development, gather requirements, analyze them, and convert product and developer needs into effective platform concepts
• Drive innovation and enhancements in the internal developer platform, fostering a culture of best practices and optimal tool usage
• Manage the platform product lifecycle from requirement gathering through to production, delivery, and adoption
• Determine relevant success metrics to assess platform effectiveness, adoption rates, and improvements in developer experience, ensuring data-driven decisions
• Develop compelling business cases to address key technical needs and efficiency enhancements, explaining the what and why of platform upgrade justifications
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, assessing, and crafting cost-effective solutions that align with product development and business objectives
• Define platform capabilities, including essential features and functionality, and establish release criteria; analyze usability and technology trends for improvement opportunities
• Strive to become a subject matter expert in targeted strategic areas, identifying challenges for developers and defining new avenues for enhancing developer experience
• Serve as the primary knowledge resource on the advantages of adopting new platform capabilities
• Make informed trade-off decisions balancing feasibility and desirability in technical implementations
• Engage regularly with product development and platform teams to facilitate discussions, provide clarifications, and assist in requirement acceptance and refinement processes
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to develop the platform roadmap
• Work with engineering leadership to plan launches for platform improvements, coordinating adoption plans as needed for any impacts on downstream product development teams and processes
• Communicate insights and updates to both internal and external audiences regarding business challenges, developer obstacles, and inventive initiatives we employ to address these needs
