Manufacturing Process Excellence Specialist
Our client is a respected manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and operational quality. As the organization continues to invest in operational efficiency, they are seeking a Manufacturing Process Excellence Specialist to help elevate manufacturing workflows, improve cross functional collaboration, and maximize the value of their existing ERP platform.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on ERP professional who enjoys solving business challenges, partnering with manufacturing leaders, and driving meaningful process improvements. Rather than replacing an ERP system, this role focuses on optimizing an established environment by standardizing processes, improving data quality, and helping business teams work more efficiently. You will play a visible role in shaping how manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations work together to support continued growth.
This Role Offers
- Competitive compensation package with strong bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits.
- Opportunity for a hybrid work environment after the initial onboarding period.
- Opportunity to make a lasting impact on enterprise-wide manufacturing operations.
- Highly collaborative culture where continuous improvement is encouraged and supported.
- A stable organization committed to operational excellence, quality, and long-term investment in technology.
- Exposure to executive leadership and key decision makers across multiple business functions.
What You Will Do
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance, customer service, and IT teams to identify opportunities for business process improvement.
- Evaluate existing ERP workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support standardized operating practices.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, process documentation, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Lead process discovery sessions, requirements gathering workshops, and workflow validation meetings with business stakeholders.
- Promote ERP best practices by recommending system configuration before pursuing custom development whenever possible.
- Support ERP enhancements, change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between business users, technical teams, and external solution partners.
- Assist with prioritization of ERP improvement requests based on operational impact and business value.
- Monitor process performance and recommend ongoing improvements that strengthen productivity, consistency, and data integrity.
- Support user adoption through communication, documentation, and process training initiatives.
What You Bring
- Five or more years of hands-on experience improving business processes within a manufacturing ERP environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in manufacturing operations, with strong preference for high mix, low volume production environments.
- Hands on ERP practitioner experience, not limited to supporting or participating in an implementation project.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows including production planning, inventory management, procurement, order fulfillment, and supply chain operations.
- Experience improving ERP usage through process optimization, workflow redesign, and operational standardization.
- Ability to analyze complex business challenges and translate them into practical ERP solutions.
- Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as Visibility, Epicor, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or comparable manufacturing ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting ERP optimization, stabilization, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to CRM integration, IT service management processes, or manufacturing systems is beneficial.
