General Maintenance Engineer

• Maintain all equipment, systems, and building components including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, and other equipment.
• Build, repair, and paint all parts of the hotel.
• Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Clean carpets and rugs.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Detect malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discuss issues with supervisors or maintenance staff.
• Dismantle defective machines and install repaired or new parts.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Fabricate and repair furniture and fixtures.
• Attend scheduled training and meetings.
• Paint corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas as needed.
• Transport heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in delivering and setting up new equipment.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer requests.

• Previous experience as a hotel engineer or similar maintenance role in an apartment complex or office building preferred.
• Ability to be yourself, lead yourself, and make a difference.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The hourly pay range is $18.00 to $22.00 for roles in Santa Barbara, CA. Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and organizational needs. We offer benefits including paid time off, insurance, 401k, and more.
