MRF Bale Floater Operator

Mar Borg Industries seeks an MRF Bale Floater Operator to support recycling operations at our Santa Barbara facility. In this role, you will operate and monitor baling equipment to safely compact, bale, and stage recyclable materials, helping maximize material recovery and quality. Responsibilities include basic equipment inspections and cleaning, following strict safety and PPE procedures, accurate bale and production documentation, and assisting with sorting, housekeeping, and yard organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor MRF bale equipment to compact and bale recyclable materials
• Perform basic equipment checks, cleaning, and minor adjustments for safe operation
• Sort, stage, and move bales and recyclables according to material type and quality standards
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines
• Record production data, bale counts, and material issues accurately
• Communicate equipment problems and safety concerns to supervisors promptly
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain plant flow and cleanliness
• Assist with general facility housekeeping and yard organization as needed
