This is a part‑time, partially hybrid role for a Grants Manager located in the Santa Barbara area. The Grants Manager will oversee the administration of grant funding, maintain detailed records, and develop grant proposals to secure funding opportunities. Daily responsibilities include identifying funding prospects, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, managing reporting obligations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support organizational goals.
Qualifications- Proven success securing both private foundation grants and state government grants
- Strong grant writing and editing skills
- Experience with budgets, reporting and compliance
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Non‑profit experience required; knowledge of public safety, mental health or community services is a plus
- Must be a Santa Barbara area resident and available for occasional in‑person meetings
- Research and identify private foundation and state grant opportunities
- Write and submit grant proposals, letters of enquiry and supporting materials
- Manage a grants calendar and track deadlines
- Work with leadership to gather program data, budgets and outcomes
- Prepare and submit required grant reports
- Ensure compliance with state funding requirements and grant restrictions
- Maintain relationships with funders and program officers
