Responsibilities:
- In process inspection and evaluation of engineered space flight products.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints to understand product specifications.
- Using mechanical inspection devices for product evaluation.
- Conducting dimensional inspection using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.
- Documenting inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
- Ensuring that all inspection and testing equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to rectify any quality issues and improve product quality.
- Conducting training sessions on quality control activities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using mechanical inspection devices and tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality standards.
- Experience in conducting dimensional inspection.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies or defects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with in process inspection is required.
