As a Cashier, you are the face of the company while processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently. You will accurately handle cash, credit/debit payments, and change, and assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints. You will follow all front‑end procedures, assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed, maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, guide customers to product locations, and stay in communication with the front‑end manager and Head Cashier.

You are expected to keep checkout areas clean and orderly, and perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Show an outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Be able to operate front‑end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills; accept direction and constructive criticism; participate in a team environment.
• Be capable of repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs. from 36” to 24” horizontally/vertically for up to 3 ft., up to 50 hrs without mechanical assistance.
• Move grocery carts horizontally requiring up to 35 lbs. for up to 4 ft., up to 50 hrs.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; be capable in cash handling, mathematics, reading, writing, and counting.

The pay range for this position is $15.10 – $18.10 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
