Client Relationship Management, Business Development
You have looked a family in the eye and delivered a difficult truth, even when it meant walking away from a sale, a target, or a manager's expectation. In this role, that honesty is not a sacrifice—it is the standard.
Alpha operates a private K-12 school network where students complete academics in roughly two hours daily and dedicate the remainder of their time to developing practical, real-world skills. The outcomes are validated by measurable test performance. This is an on-site position based at a single campus, requiring daily in-person presence in one of 12 available markets:
Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA;
Austin, TX;
Atlanta, GA;
Boca Raton, FL;
Boston, MA;
Chicago, IL;
Greenwich, CT;
Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT. You will select your preferred market during the application process.
Families enrolling here pay premium tuition, conduct extensive research, and pose rigorous questions about expectations and academic standards within the first moments of engagement. The integrity of the model depends entirely on enrollment alignment—families must genuinely desire what Alpha offers. In a tightly cohesive cohort, a single misaligned family can alter the environment for all participants.
You will assume complete ownership of the admissions pipeline for one campus. From initial inquiry through fit assessment, campus visit, shadow day observation, and final enrollment decision, you are the sole point of contact that family engages with until their child's first day. A typical week may include: responding to every new inquiry within four hours, guiding a skeptical parent through the afternoon program structure, facilitating a shadow day experience, maintaining all interactions in Hub Spot, and placing a call to inform a family that their child would thrive better in a different setting.
You will simultaneously manage 20 or more families at varying stages of the enrollment process. You determine fit, and you communicate that determination directly, in person, using your own judgment and language.
The network is expanding, and operational best practices continue to develop. Those who successfully establish a market define the fit criteria, refine the FAQ resources, and set the standards adopted by subsequent campuses. They also become the trusted referral contact among affluent families in their region.
This is an on-site role requiring full-time daily presence at one campus. Candidates who excel in this position typically come from the following backgrounds: admissions and enrollment leadership at selective independent schools; high‑value consumer sales professionals serving family clients, such as luxury real estate agents, private wealth advisors, or owners of premium service practices; and hospitality or private service operators who have delivered exceptional, white‑glove client experiences to discerning clientele.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of the prospective family enrollment experience from initial contact through onboarding, conducting thorough needs assessments before presenting any program details.
- Managing 20 or more concurrent family relationships, responding promptly to all inquiries and reviewing incoming applications on a daily basis.
- Facilitating campus tours, information sessions, open houses, and shadow day experiences that provide families with transparent insight into program fit and expectations.
- Developing admission and decline recommendations independently and personally communicating enrollment decisions to families.
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in Hub Spot and the student information system following every family interaction, leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for preparation and documentation, and providing weekly pipeline reports to leadership.
- Prioritizing enrollment volume over fit. Enrolling a family who later withdraws is a worse result than declining a family at the outset.
- Having your fit assessment overridden to preserve a relationship or meet an enrollment quota.
- Following rigid scripts, executing high-volume call campaigns, or offering discounted enrollment incentives.
