Security Management Resources, Inc. has just launched a search for the new position of Head of Protective Services. Located in the beautiful Santa Barbara, California, region, this senior leader will aid in the hiring and management of a team of security professionals responsible for protective services. This role is of vital importance to a comprehensive program for a discreet private family office and is an excellent opportunity for someone with a federal government background.
A creative and generous compensation package is on offer for this role, including relocation support from within the continental US and the potential for on-site housing.
- Lead and coordinate the daily efforts of a dedicated team of protection specialists.
- Leverage intelligence sources to proactively identify potential threats.
- Assess potential vulnerabilities and security risks associated with family-owned properties.
- Qualify, select, and coordinate the activities of external service providers.
- Liaise with local law enforcement to ensure effective coordination of emergency or crisis response actions.
- Conduct advance travel security assessments and accompany principals during travel and at events.
- Continuing education in a related discipline, such as criminal justice or security management.
- Advanced executive protection skills gained through experience with a federal government agency.
- Skilled in the use and implementation of physical security systems and technology, and must meet all requirements for certification under LEOSA.
- Excellent analytical capabilities coupled with sound decision-making capabilities.
- US citizenship and possession of a valid US passport are required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity with this region of California or prior connections to the state.
