Security Officer 1 - Part-Time:
Friday
-Saturday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Pay Range: $21.67 - $ 25.00

This position provides security services for the organization's residents and employees. It protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.

• Patrols inside and outside the Community's grounds, including lobbies, corridors, public rooms, and facility access points, to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
• Respond to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation, and other emergencies.
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, carrying forbidden articles and devices, reports, or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Investigates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to the supervisor, and maintains a file on them.
• Keeps an accurate log of shift activities.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Effective oral and written communication skills appropriate to the audience's needs.
• Effective conflict management skills.
• Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction, problem identification, and resolution.

• Essential: Diploma, High School/GED
• Preferred:

• Essential: 6 months Security Experience

• Must be able to remain stationary 20% of the time.
• Must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, to execute the job's essential functions.
• Must be able to lift or carry items:
  • Seldom: 26-50 pounds
  • Occasionally: 26-50 pounds
  • Frequently: 11-25 pounds
  • Constantly: 1-10 pounds
• Must occasionally ascend or descend stairs to provide essential services.
• Must effectively communicate information and ideas so that others clearly understand the exchanged information.
• Must consistently work in an office and an assisted living facility atmosphere.
