** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

+ Support day-to-day site operations by communicating with supervisors, personnel, and/or first responders during incidents, outages, or other critical situations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
