What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support appropriate to a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, or policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and following Allied Universal protocols for patrol, reporting, and customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to use a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
